My Knitting Adventure
As some of you know, my Secret Santa sent me a “kit” to learn how to knit. Yesterday afternoon, I spent some time figuring out how to knit. I practiced some, and practiced some more. I had a couple holes, and my niece (who’s 11) told me they were because I lost some stitches. Oops. I also discovered I have a difficult time knitting loosely; I’m always pulling the yarn very tight.
Sophia saw me knitting and asked me what I was knitting. I told her I wasn’t sure, but perhaps a scarf. She decided she wanted me to make her one. Um, okay. I suck, but at 3.5 years old she may not notice.
We went to Michael’s this evening and I let her pick out her own yarn. She picked out a dark purple. I’ve been working on it this evening, and only started over like 4 times. This time, I decided to say screw it! Any mistakes made will just be part of the “charm.” When it’s done, I’ll post pictures for all to laugh at (and/or offer suggestions for improving).
And now, back to the knitting…

I knit tightly, you get used to it.
