A Bit of Cyn

This weekend, Sophia told us she wanted to move to a “big, BIG girl bed.” We talked about it several times and each time she was excited. (”Just like Elliot and Nicole!”) So yesterday we moved the toddler bed to Drew’s room (he’s NOT in it), and the spare twin bed into Sophia’s room. During the move she whined a bit and told her if it didn’t work out we’d move the toddler bed back to her room.

Last night was the first night in the big girl bed. She was so tired I’m not sure she even noticed. LOL She got out of bed a couple times, which is normal for her now, but each time she got back into her bed without an issue. This morning she told her daycare teachers all about it. (And on the way home said, “I want Krista [her daycare teacher] to come to my house to see my big, BIG girl bed!”) Tonight we added a “princess comforter” and that peaked her interest even more.

Tonight, she played in the bed, jumping on it, and is still happy about it! I’m thrilled! For months I’ve been looking forward to moving her into a twin bed. Not sure why it’s such a big milestone for me, but it is. I want to buy all new bedding for it, something that will match her newly painted room. Though, the bedding on it now works quite well. It was my nieces and is pink, purple, green and yellow whimsical flowers. Then the comforter cover is pink with a bit of lavender, and has crowns across the top; thus the princess comforter!

Anyway, it’s been much smoother than I had imagined. (She is not very good with change, or sleeping for that matter.) Next stop: moving Drew to a bed. Thankfully that won’t be happening for quite some time!!
