Let the Month Begin
Today is the first day of NaBloPoMo. As such, this is my first “official” post. Aren’t you all lucky.
We had quite a bit of fun yesterday, Halloween. We went to my parents for dinner, then to do a little Trick-or-Treating. Drew went as a frog, and Sophia went as a Bee. (Sophia was originally going to be a Princess but it was WAY too cold and I couldn’t figure out how to dress her warm enough and still use her Princess costume.) The kids did very well. Drew was upset that he couldn’t just hold every piece of candy he was given. Sophia wanted to keep going and going, already interested in getting as much candy as possible. (Ah, a girl after my own heart!)
Before we went out, my mom was telling Ron and I a story about Halloween. This is how it went:
Mom: I remember the first Halloween…
Sophia: Ever?
HAHA! Ron and I were laughing so hard! She was actually telling a story about her first Halloween with my brother and sister. But it cracked us up that our daughter said that. It completely fits our type of humor. Oh, and my mom was real impressed to think her granddaughter thought she was that old.
Totally off topic… Our friend, Dale, who came up this past weekend to watch the kids while we were away, came down with a stomach virus while staying at our house. Ron and I are totally freaking out that one of us, or the kids, will get it. Man, that would suck!! Fortunately, he’s starting to feel a bit better…
